Who is Yuneec?
As a refresher, the innovative minds working at unique have designed propulsion systems for UAV’s and even aircraft and they bring that expertise to the street with their power board designs which began with the original Yuneec E Go. Since power personal transport is a field that was originally filled with cheap knockoffs (remember the hoverboard) it’s important to make sure that you find a brand you can trust that backs up their warranties and has support that will be responsive. Yuneec certainly fits this bill.

The E-Go 2 Body
As Frank Artura explains in the video below, this board may look like a toy, but it’s far from it and very sturdy. Next to your average penny board, the E-Go 2 is a beast. The flexible battery makes it so you don’t need to worry about stress causing those pesky fires that many people had to deal with their cheap, new hoverboards.
The power switch is located next to charging port on the side of the underside of the electric longboard with a USB charger on the opposite side where you can comfortably charge the powerboard’s remote.
Yuneec E-Go 2 Controller
The controller is similar to the original E-Go with a throttle switch that is activated when you push the throttle switch up and engages the skateboard’s regenerative braking when pulled towards the bottom which recycle’s the board’s energy. On the side is a flashlight and usb port for charging and it comes with a wrist strap. Of course, upon release the throttle immediately stops for safety reasons.
Also located on the controller is a battery indicator where the number of blinks correlates with the board’s charging status.
Riding the E-Go 2: Sport Mode versus Eco Mode
On the side of the controller is the switch between the board’s eco mode and sport mode. The eco mode slows down the board’s acceleration curve and limits the speed to 8mph (13 kmph), however this mode saves battery life.
Dudes and dudettes that are new to the world of electric skateboards should start their shredding on the eco mode and gradually move into the sport mode once they get more comfortable on the board. Some other safety tips for newbies include starting on a flat surface with little to no traffic.
The Bottom Line
Yuneec built this longboard with both design and usability in mind. The updated urban colors combined with the sleek way that the motor and battery fit right into the board make it a perfect choice for all your electric skateboard needs. As Yuneec is a company that is celebrated for their technological innovation in a variety of fields which include aviation, you can be sure that the technology and the design will both be turning heads.
